Hello, we're in the process of replacing our firewall with a Fortinet 80F model. However, unlike the Fortinet 100E, this model doesn't have default HA ports. Can we use FortiLink ports A and B for (HA) instead?

Hello,
FortiGate 80F doesn't have dedicated HA interfaces:
It should be fine to use interface A for HA, however it is necessary to remove A interface from FortiLink aggregate interface first.
Thanks for the response @abarushka .
Could you advise whether it's more suitable to utilize FortiLink ports for HA or for link aggregation?
Hello,
FortiLink interface is rather logical. And FortiLink cannot be used as HA heartbeat.
From hardware perspective ports A and B are the same as ports 1-6.
You can use any available physical interface as a HA heartbeat interface, please make sure that it is not used in any hardware/software switch or link aggregation. Please refer to this document for more information "https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.4.1/administration-guide/849059/ha-heartbeat-interfac...
