Hi,
I am little confused on the procedures upgrading our FortiMail VM01 to VM02. Is it just uploading the new license or do I need to create a new VM using VM02 and transfer all the config (backup and restore) to the new VM.
My appreciation to those to can point me to the right path.
Thanks!

Hi
This should be doable by extending the license on the support portal.
Open support portal > My Assets > open your FortiMail asset > Registration > Add License or Renew Contract > then follow the licensing process.
The wait few minute, shutdown your FortiMail, add 1 extra CPU, start the VM, and you are done.
If you don't get answers before then, I have a call with my AM/SE on Friday afternoon and I'll be asking practically same exact questions as I am deploying a VM, so I will relay back at that time. There was a change as of 6.2.2 that now all VM's support unlimited RAM. But if you run a version prior to that, you are restricted based on the max RAM of that particular VM series https://vidmate.bid/ .
