Fortiguard

I have a Fortigate 100D. It has been laying dormant for about 3 months and i recently upgraded to 5.0.7 and built it from scratch. I have installed it at client site, everything works great. Except, Foprtiguard, i am using the Fortinet DNS servers and those have a green checkmark. I have called the ISP and there is no firewall blcoking anything, i replaced an 80C out there that had no issues checking into the Fortiguard. The 100D was replaced on the same port as the 80C. Any thoughts?

Micah, What specifically isn' t working with regards to FortiGuard, your AV/IPS/etc updates? Have you already tried changing ports from 53 to 8888 or vice-versa? You can also debug doing the following: diag debug application update 255 diag debug enable exec update-now

Replace the Fortinet DNS servers with the ones present on the old 80C.

Hi Micah, FortiGuard licence doesn' t automatically comes with the ForitGate. You have to purchase separate license to get those updates. Have you bought the licence? If yes, then you can log a support ticket to investigate why you don' t have access to those features.
