I will try to answer you question based on what I understood. Just to give you an idea, if the number of clients/users is increasing basically you are sharing the internet bandwidth between everybody. Let's assume you have 10Mpbs of Internet and 10 users using Internet at the same time, you can estimate 1Mbps/user (the math is not that simple, this calculation is just to give you an idea on the worst case scenario).
So if you keep adding access points and users connected to them we can say that there are more devices/users using the same bandwidth. What might reflect as 'slow Internet'.
