Dear all,
we have two core switches cisco 4506, they are configured using HSRP.
HSRP configured in a way that is making both of the switches are Active.
i mean the first core is active for some Vlans, and the other is active for the rest of the vlans.
we need to install Fortigate cluster in active passive mode, as we have PPPoE connections and we can't go with the Active-Active mode.
i have connected one firewall to the first core using l3 link by routing the traffic from core to fortigate, and it is good.
however when i connected the second core to the firewall on a different port with different IP and the same way for the first one, i couldn't ping the second IP.
our approach is to have both of the core switches in active-active mode, and the firewalls in active passive with L3 connectivity between them.
what do you advise please for the configuration between the core switches and the firewalls.
your fast response id highly appreciated
Thank you

Hi,
I will install 2x 201E in HA in exact same configuration.
What configuration did you end up using?
Fortigates in A-A or A-P?
A redundant interface in each Fortigate with two ports, one for each 4506?
Thanks
