Fortigate web interface and firefox

Having a problem with the above. With the exception of viewing logs everything else works in Firefox. When viewing a log from disk the scroll bars in Firefox do not work. I can scroll up and down using the mouse wheel but I cannot scroll side to side. I was able to, in older versions of Firefox, switch from formatted to raw view and back and then the scroll bars would work but now with Firefox 3.5 even this does not get the scroll bars working. At first I thought maybe the theme I have install was causing a problem so I reverted back to classic theme with same results. I then tried disabling all add-ons installed but the problem persists. Anybody else have this trouble and find a fix? Also is there anything that needs to be done to the anti-virus quarantine on disk in the 300a when new firmware is installed? For some reason it seems to save files until there are two pages of entries and then it stops. Right now I have two pages in the web interface from July but nothing from August even though the status page show many items being stopped.

I don' t have that problem (viewing logs on the FGT) with FF and I' m on 3.5.2. Scrolls up/down/left/right " Formatted" or " Raw" and using the mouse to move the scroll bars along the bottom and/or the mouse wheel (mine tilts left and right as well as scrolls). It must be something else on your system. I can' t imagine it' s the FortiOS web UI. Heck, mine even works " better/faster" with Google Chrome but Chrome' s not supported so I don' t use it much with my FortiGates.

Well after much more testing it is definitely my system and Firefox. I tried starting Firefox in safe mode and the scrollbars in the logs still don' t work. Guess I will have to use IE until I resolve what on my system is causing the trouble. Thanks for the info.

Have you tried reinstalling Firefox?

Well it took a total uninstall, letting the uninstall process remove everything, and re-install but everything is working again. I really was trying to avoid this but guess sometime you have to bite the bullet :)
