Fortigate update
Hello,
I'm a beginner and I'm doing a lab
I need to update a fortigate to version 7.2.7
The adom on the fortimanager is version 7.0
1)Should I first update the adom and then the fortigate, or vice versa?
2)If I don't update the adom and leave it at 7.0, will that cause any problems?
3) The fortimanager is in version 7.2.1, do I need to update it too?
If so, what order should I follow?
Update Adom then fortigate then fortimanager?
Thank you very much.

1. FMG can handle totally three generations of FortiOS. But it's recommended to have the latest in the major version:7.2, which is now 7.2.7
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortimanager/7.2.1/release-notes/149047/fortios-and-fortios-carri...
2. ADOM version N can tolerate to manage devices with firmware version N+1 as in below admin guide:
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortimanager/7.2.7/administration-guide/424836/adom-versions
Once you finish upgrading all FGTs inside the ADOM to 7.2.x, you should upgrade the ADOM version from 7.0 to 7.2, so that you can do the next upgrade from 7.2.x to 7.4.x for all FGTs.
So the direct answers would be...
1) upgrade the FGT then ADOM
2) no problem
3) no, not necessary but recommeded to upgrade to 7.2.7
