Fortigate "VLAN Switch" question

Hi all,

I am configuring various VLANs (for internal routing & internet access etc) on the "VLAN Switch" feature of the Fortigate. Everything is working correctly but I would like to add more Physical Ports to the "VLAN Switch" interface. My question is, how does that work, if I plug 5 more physical Fortigate ports into my Switch with the correct VLAN tagging/untagging and add them to the VLAN Switch, will it just use all the ports for the traffic? Will it cause loops ? Not finding any information that explains that.

Thanks

you add more ports to it, they all become part of the same... switch

Thanks for this. Explains it a lot better. So does adding port ports to the VLAN switch aggregate the connections to the VLAN switch with multiple VLAN interfaces?

As @AlexC-FTNT 's KB @funkylicious referred to shows, a VLAN switch never "aggregate" multiple ports (LAG). Those members of a VLAN switch carry the same packets multiplied and deliver them to all ports. You can configure VLANs on a LAG but a LAG can not be a member of a VLAN switch.

Thanks guys, I think I got it figured out. It was creating loops. Going to use Fortilink for VLANs instead
