Hi
I have deployed a single Fortigate in Azure (marketplace) and thought I could take a backup of the vm by using Azure Backup, but I now found that it is not possible.
How do you do? How do you handle a restore?I would like to have a routine for recovery where I get both all config for the Fortigate and also Azure resources connected to it as route tables, public ip addresses etc.
Thanks

At this time, the Azure Backup service does not support FortiGate-VM on Azure. As an alternative, you can:
Create an Azure snapshot and use it to create a new OS disk. You can then perform a disk swap.

To ensure that all settings are preserved on a redeployed Fortigate, it is advisable to take a configuration backup. This can be easily restored to the device when needed, saving you time and effort.
