Fortigate firewall Failover tests with virtual clustering

Hi All,

I have 2 Fortigate firewalls located in two geographical locations - version 5.2.10.

Between these firewalls I have created virtual clustering.

Each firewall will have 4 vdoms. 2 Vdoms will be active in one firewall and the other 2 will be active in the other firewall.

Virtual Cluster 1  

VDoms DC1,root  

FW-DC1 <> MASTER 132 EDIT  

FW-DC2 <> SLAVE  128 EDIT

VDoms DC2,root-dc2  

FW-DC1 <> SLAVE 128  

FW-DC2 <> MASTER 132

    set vcluster2 enable     set override enable         config secondary-vcluster             set override enable             set priority 132             set vdom "DC2" "root-dc2"         end

As the Failover test was never done earlier, I am planning to test the failover between these two devices/vdoms.

Please let me know how to do this in GUI as well as in CLI. And what simple tests needs to be carried out during the test, apart from pinging to the devices.
