Hello everyone
For https user authentication from WAN via a VIP.
What do I have to configure there?
Does anyone have any tips or has already done so?
Thank you for your help

Hi Team,
If i have understood correctly, are you trying to access any internal sever for a specif port configured via VIP ,if not please explain the issue with a network diagram to assist you accordingly.
Hi Christian_89
Please elaborate your requirement in detail:
> will the FGT do user auth OR it will just be a mediator to pass traffic to internal server
> when you say user auth on https, are you trying to access FGT from wan or server?
Thanks
Hello
The Fortigate for the auth from via LDAP.Auth is not a problem, but I have it
My problem is current
I make the request on 443 and have to forward it to 9090.
and there I fail with the Auth.
Hey Christian,
as my colleagues mentioned, it would be really helpful to have some more information as to what you're trying to achieve.
If your goal is something like a VIP that also requires authentication, you could look into the new ZTNA feature:
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.0.0/new-features/855420/zero-trust-network-access-int...
It essentially makes internal servers available via a VIP, but includes authentication and device identification options to restrict access.
