This is gonna be a rant...
Third RMA of D series this year because of broken SSD disk. Lasted from 6 to 15 months. This was the issue of flash disks, but SSD? Can't be bad luck, something else is wrong.
So why I was logging locally, right?
And for what SSD is there? How can you use that shiny FortiView, if you don't enable logging?
@Fortinet: What about using some enterprise grade write intensive SLC SSD instead of cheapest MLC? We pay premium price for disk, we ridiculously pay even more for UTM (comparing to same performance diskless model).
Is it expected, that box will be RMAed every year due to broken SSD? Really?
Can you optimize software, that stupid failure of log disk will not bring down whole box?
Some good news at the end - finally E serries have user accessible SSD.
