Fortigate Reverse Proxy

We have a FortiWiFi 92D currently runnong 5.2.4 and wish to host multiple web servers behind it. Thehe WAN interface has just a single static public IP so we wish to forward http and https requests to the appropriate internal server based on the requested URL.

E.g.

External A Records: www.company.com 1.2.3.4 webmail.company.com 1.2.3.4 As above, both URLs resolve to the same external IP address. Requests for www.company.com should forward to internal IP 10.0.0.1 Requests for webmail.company.com should forward to internal IP 10.0.0.2

I understand that setting up a reverse proxy is the way to achieve this, but can I do this with the 92D?

Fortinet support issued a blanket statement to me that the FortiGate can't be configured as a reverse proxy, but I have read some articles indicating that some kind of reverse proxying is possible with a Fortigate, so i'm just not sure.

And help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi OTH,

try this:

(Enable Loadbalancing in Settings)

Virtual Server with HTTP Host criteria, two real servers with the matching host, (optional Healtcheck)

And then create the matching Policy from WAN->LAN selecting the above created Virtual-Server as the destination.
