Hello,
At this moment we have a fresh new environment on a new premise environment. Setup:
1 fortigate 100F as edge router (7.2.2 FortiOS) 2 FPOE248E switches linked up to the 100F using fortilink (7.2.1) Multiple 108E's (around 10) connected to the 248E using fortilink (managed switches) (all on 7.2.2)
The links on the 100F & 248E are on fiber (fortinet fibre dongles), the 108E's are powered over UTP cable POE.
The problem we experience is a random outage of around 20 minutes where the fortilink interface goes down and the switches Aren't initialised by the router (controller) anymore.
When I log in using the mgmt interface on the 248E whenever fortilink is down, I can detect that the time settings are set back to 1970.
After around 20 minutes the switches connect back again & WIFI SSID's are accessible again.
Anyone has any ideas on this topic? If some points require additional explanation, feel free to ask.
Thanks already! .

Can you show the FortiLink interface configuration?
Are you using MC-LAG?
Can you provide a rough topology diagram to show all of the interconnects? Or better explain the connections:
- Are 108Es connecting to 248E using LAG or single port?
- Are the 248E's interconnected at all?
- Are the 108E's interconnected at all?
