Fortigate Device Inventory

Hi guys,

Two option deployment on two separate places.

1. ISP to Fortigate to Network Switch

with this deployment i able to discover all device in the network.

2. ISP to Fortigate to VLAN Core Switch to VLAN Access Switch

this deployment was using VLAN routing from fortigate to core switch and core switch to fortigate. With this setup, i unable to discover device behind the core switch. only see the coreswitch interface that attach between fortigate and coreswitch.

How to make the fortigate able to discover device behind coreswitch.

Thanks

nazrin

You don't, device identification requires a L2 network to work as expected. However, if you use fortiswitch with security fabric enabled I would imagine you would see all devices
