Due to Fortigate implementing an out of spec ikev1 + xauth + OTP which is undocumented and out of spec (I'll create another thread for this). And due to the Linux client lacking IPSec support (as far as I can tell). It is impossible for the Forticlient for Linux to connect to a PSK+XAUTH+Fortitoken configured gateway.

So are you complaining ? The forticlient is not IPSEC aware for linux and you have many other ipsec solutions for linux.
I would read the supported OSes and methods listed.

PCNSE
NSE
StrongSwan
None of which work with Fortigates proprietary out of spec token extension for psk+xauth+fortitoken.
