Fortigate - AntiSpam - SMTP - Block instead of discard
Hi!
I want to use my Fortigates as SpamFilter and tried to enable it, but I have some complaints from my users:
Fortigate is "transparent" in front of my MTA.
If a message from outside is declared as spam through FortiGuard Spam Filtering, it is just dropped, but the sender is getting a positive feedback code (250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as...)
Shouldn't Fortigate just intercept the session, that the sender will get an error code?
Did I do something wrong?
Thank you for your help!
Regards,
KPS

Hi,
modify the Spam action to be taken when traffic matches your antispam profile.
Default is "discard" for SMTP; change it to "tag". Mail will reach the recipient with a tag you can customize

Hi abelio!
I am aware of that feature, but this is not, what I am looking for.
Isn't there a "block"-feature to just interrupt the session, when spam is detected?

Apparently this is a semantic issue;
If you check docs at https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/6.2.1/cli-reference/347620/emailfilter-profile
you'll see:
