Fortigate 60e New setup

Good day,

I have recently purchased a new Fortigate 60e for my network. Let me explain briefly what I am wanting.

Currently I have 2 static IP's from my ISP, 1 is for my Windows 2012 server network (AD and Exchange server) and the other for my Linux Web server. Each static IP has its own router connecting to the network and web server. The Windows Server is setup for DHCP, DNS and Gateway.

Example: Not my actual IP's

Windows Network: ISP WAN: 105.233.50.310, internal DNS 192.168.61.20 Gateway 192.168.61.100

Linux Web server: ISP WAN: 105.233.45.334, internal 192.168.10.120

I am wanting to setup the WAN1 and LAN1 port on the fortigate for Windows network and WAN2 and LAN2 for Linux web server.

Any guidance on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

Someone else may think of considerations that I am not thinking of but I presume that you would do the following:

Under Network / Interfaces

Set up the WAN1 interface

Set up the WAN2 interface

Under Network / Static Routes

Set up Static Route for Wan1

Set up Static Route for Wan2

Go to Policy & Objects / IPv4 Policy

Set up at least 1 policy each for:

Lan1 to Wan1

and

Lan2 to Wan2

Or take the easy route and create an additional VDOM. Fortigates come with 10 VDOMs for free.

A VDOM is a completely independent virtual Fortigate on the same hardware. You will be able to specify 2 default routes which is not possible with just one Fortigate.
