Fortigate 60C sudden inaccessible

Hi Experts, I would like to get an input for my fortigate 60C. IT was all working fine when I got an email about: 100% of your storage quota has been used! When i got back to office and try to access it, i can' t login via web, so i tried ssh and failed. restarted the box and now i cannot ping it. Console seems okay, but my username and password is rejected (which i know what the username and password is). I tried resetting the password using the login: maintainer... but can' t save the settings. any input is greatly appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to the forums. Sounds strange, as the 60C is not an old model. I' d try this, from the console port: - ' exec formatlogdisk' - ' exec reboot' and try to log in. If that doesn' t help, reboot the FGT, monitoring via console port and stop the boot process. Reload the firmware image and start over from scratch. Of course, this will WIPE OUT your configuration so you should make a backup first. Which version of FortiOS are you using? The latest 4.3 (v4.0 MR3) is stable.

This indicates that there is no admin user (maybe you have some other username?) try this: config system admin edit admin set accprofile " super_admin" set vdom root set password 1234 end

Bumping this old post but just wanted to confirm this just worked for me also.   My Fortwifi 60c suddenly stopped working and couldn't log in.

I used fortiExplorer to upload new firmware (https://support.fortinet.com/Download/FirmwareImages.aspx) and then had to get one of each of these to be able to cli in:   http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=ADPDRJ459F - Dynamix DB9 Female to RJ-45 ADAPTOR(8 Wire) Extend Serial port via CAT5 Cable   http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=ADPATNUC-232A&name=ATEN-UC232A-USB-to-RS232-Serial-(RS-232)-... - ATEN UC232A USB to RS232 Serial (RS-232) DB9 Convertor DB-9 Male 35cm   and I got a crossover cable which I didn't need.   Then followed these 2 lots of instructions before following the instructions above: http://docs.fortinet.com/...ost_admin_password.pdf http://help.fortinet.com/fweb/553/Content/FortiWeb/fortiweb-admin/connecting_gui_cli.htm   Hope this helps someone else :)
