Fortigate 501E End of Sales soon

Hi,

I've heard that the Fortigate 501E will be deleted from price list soon and recommended replacement will be 601E.

Anyone know the reason about that? Any hardware issue or chip issue with that model? It's not an old one ( release Q4 2017 ) so i'm very surprised about that.....

The 600e / 601e units are better throughput for the same price. I think the main difference is the Intel CPU has been refreshed.

That correct but 501E has only 3 years old!!!

The 500E models will just not get sold any more - and buying or selling them does not make any sense, as the prices of the 60xE series is exactly the same

Support will be there for at least 5 more years!
