We have Fortigate 3600C (2 Firewalls in HA mode). One of the Firewall was shutdown becuase of maintenance. When it was restarted, we have observed continuous reboot through console cable and displaying an error message "Slave and Master have different hdisk status, shutdown the box"
In the master firewall, we have updated and created new policy/added group objects for blocking the IPs
After removing the HA port cable in the slave firewall it has successfully booted without any error. We have observed that the new policies and group objects are not seen in the slave firewall.
Can we connect the HA cable to the slave firewall to affect the above policies and synchronize both the firewalls or the created policies in the master firewall will be erased
Probably you have a failed disk on one node.
I don't think you can rebuild the cluster without repairing/replacing the unit. Try open a ticket for replacement.
