Dear Forum I need to implement for a resort a wireless network with a Fortigate 30e and 3 Engenius ENS620EXT Access Points. Best would be with Captive Portal of the Fortigate 30e. The manuals show only the setup with Fortinet Access Points. What is the proper setup for 3rd party Access Points to work with the Captive Portal of a Fortigate? Best regards
hi,
to my best knowledge you cannot manage 3rd party APs through a FGT. The management protocol, the tunnel setup etc. etc. are vendor-specific.
But you can use 3rd party APs nevertheless, after setting them up manually: local IP, subnet, DHCP, routing,... Just like any other subnet.
