Fortigate 200A - USB loopback

Hi, guys I downloaded and installed a new image in the FortiGate 200A, and HQIP now is requesting a self test hardware, but i dont have the cable for test usb ports, Message - " USB Test requires loopback cables. Failure on this test may be caused by bad cable or poor connection. Check wirings before taking further actions."

USB Test requires loopback cables

Just ignore that test. You need a USB loopback plug which is like 60-80 usd. Not worth the effort , time or money. Unless you where a refurb fortigate seller, just leave it and ignore that test result.

Tks, for help emnoc, but how i ignore the test?, because the HQIP just show the message " USb..." , is there any command that I can use and configure FortiGate?

what are you trying todo exactly ? Just ignore the USB failure test and read the rest of the report. It looks like you IDE test failed. What exactly is your problem(s)? is the 200A dead, dying, or something else? btw that HQIP image might be old. Where id you get that image from?

we lost the admin password, and i download the firmware in this site http://emea.fortinet.net/fortinet/aht/index.php, i just install the new firmware and now stop in HQIP

When you first uploaded the HQIP image, it asked if you wanted to run or install that image. You should have selected ' run' . That way it would not have overlaid the actual FGT firmware. You may now have to TFTP back up the code and restore from your backup to get the FGT back online.
