Hi,
We are using forticlient with an Ipsec vpn for mobile users.
Ever since we upgraded to windows 10, users are complaining that they randomly lose connection to network resources like file servers.
The problem seems to be that when users disconnect from a network, without properly disconnecting from the vpn, the LAN-network adapter resets the network location as Public. Even when they come into the office and connect with a LAN-cable, the adapter refuses to connect to the network as a company location. The network doesn't even display the proper domain, but instead shows a location like "Network 3" or "Network 4".
When we disable the network adapter and enable it again, everything goes back to normal. But this is no long-term solution.
People will accidentally close their laptops and lose all communication with the servers.
Computers that connect to the network through forticlient but aren't part of the domain don't seem to have this problem.
Does anyone have an idea about what's going on?
Thank you very much in advance!
