Forticlient for Mac Ikev2 support

In https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.2.1/macos-release-notes/223986/special-notices it is mentioned that Ikev2 is not supported on forticlient but in https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.2.0/new-features/374894/support-for-ikev2-for-forti... it does mention support, (and it doesn't mention that it is not available anymore)

But when I use Forticlient version 7.2.4 or 7.4.0 it still has the Ikev2 option greyed out for IPSec VPN.

Does anyone know if it is still not avaiable or If there is something that I need to change?

And it's still grayed out on Forticlient 7.4.1.
Although, you can change the setting in .xml profile. Couldn't test if this would work...
If such a hack would be supported? Probably not.

Hi FortiFire,
It seems that our release notes for versions 7.2.1-3 is not updated. I will ask the documentation team to check it out and update it. Thank you for noticing it.

The latest FortiClient version (7.2.5) supports IKEv2.

Hi FortiFire,

I found this article from 2020 showing that IKEv2 wasn't supported that time. https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiClient/Technical-Tip-FortiClient-Mac-does-not-support-IKE-v2-...

Administration Guide shows IKEv2 as not supported for MacOS versions.

https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.2.3/administration-guide/269675/feature-comparison-...

Ok, but that doesn't make much sense, since this (presumably newer) document specifically mentions ikev2 support for Forticlient. But in practice it isn't...

I assume that it is supported in ForticlientEMS, but not in the free forticlient version (yet).(I don't have ForticlientEMS)
