Forticlient does not work with the new MacOS 10.12

Hm, troublesome...

Try this build, I don't know if it will work with 10.12 beta though. Several people has however reported that this client solved earlier problems. This is build 5.4.0.511:

I haven't tested this one, it is a private build. Use with caution.

Well, using a beta release of an OS pretty much leaves you own your own...

Did you try to uninstall/remove and reinstall with the latest version of the client?

Hi Kallbrrant

Thanks a lot for your answer; based in your suggestion, I just uninstall de program, I downloaded the install dmg and when I ran it appears a window downloading the program when it finished appears a Botton to install, if I press the install button nothing happen.

Same issue here. Forticlient 5.4.0 for Mac appears to be the only app that doesn't work with macOS 10.12. Forticlient for Mac was last updated October of 2015, so hoping that they are working on a 5.4.1 that works with the new macOS.

Any links to a beta Forticlient that we can use?

Thank you, that installer did seem to work. I'm able to install and connect with this client. The build reports 5.4.0.493 when I go to check About Forticlient. Should it be reporting 5.4.0.511? Is the private build something we should be worried about? Will it update itself when a public release comes out?

Thank you, again.

kallbrandt

Actually, I just did a search on this forum and found this thread. It is a private build, and I don't have any more details about it. I think you might be better off asking in that thread instead.

Hi Kalibrandt

Thanks a lot for your help; I just installed the build 5.4.0.511 and at the end of the process the system respond "The system extension "avkern.kext" is not compatible with this version of OS X and can’t be used."; However it let me finish and the version is "usable", I just config the VPN client and works well.

Thanks a lot again!!

kallbrandt

Good to hear it worked! It may be a good thing to follow that other thread that I posted. I suspect we'll soon hear from others using OSX 10.12 there...
