Forticlient VPN on MacOS using SSL with Safari fails

I am able to successfully connect with the Forticlient VPN software to my Fortigate using an SSL connection.  Chrome works perfectly.  My problem is Safari does not work.  Does anyone know how to get Safari working with the Forticlient VPN?

Thanks.

Hi Tyler,

As you have mentioned that Chrome works fine and have issues only with Safari, could you check if the Safari version is compatible. I have pasted a reference link which shows the compatibility with the FortiOS for 6.x version:

https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/6.2.3/fortios-release-notes/973252/ssl-vpn-support

You can check the compatibility with your FortiOS version to know if your Safari browser version is compatible or not. Also, could you cross check if the issue is only with the Safari version you have.

It is Safari 15.4.  I am not using the VPN in web mode, I am connecting using Forticlient VPN.

Hello,

Adding to that, if you face any errors please share the screenshot.
If the login page loops and In SSL-VPN and fnbamd debug shows below output: error 'sslConnGotoNextState:303 error  refer to the below

I don't see the 303 errors in those debug dumps.

Can log in fine with the client, but when I try to browse using Safari, nothing.  Chrome works splendidly.

Any thoughts would be welcome.
