Forticlient EMS Server 7.2 LDAP connection Issues

Hello

I'm trying to connect the EMS Server to an LDAPs Server and when testing, it return a "Protocol Error"

The connection to LDAP it's strictly just for AD? Doesn't work with an OpenLDAP or FreeIPA?

It´s possible to do with an OpenLDAP or FreeIPA? Or just doesn't work, thanks to brand integration?

All the firewalls work like a charm with OpenLDAP and FreeIPA Ldaps.

I have the same issue in FortiClientEMS 7.2 and v7.4.

If there is a new solution, I would like to know as well.

FYI same here, upgrading to 7.2.7 broke my LDAP sync which was working in 7.0. 

I'll log a case about that.

Fortinet support said that only Windows or Azure AD are supported so there will be no effort from Fortinet to fix that broken behaviour.. bummer..
