Forticlient (EMS Cloud) for Android.

Dear colleagues,

Have any of you managed to register FortiClient in your EMS Cloud using the invitation code? I enter the correct invitation code (all in sequence and with capital letters only). After I entered the, I hope so, correct invitation code in FortiClient, the application minimizes and closes. As a result, it keeps writing that FortiClient is unlicensed and I do not have access to extended options, e.g. saving the password in the SSL VPN connection profile and Always-up connection feature. The FortiClient version is "FortiClient_v6.2.3-build0332-release.apk" downloaded from the support site in the FortiCloud panel. I will be very grateful for all hints. My Android version is 14.

Best regards,
Witek

It sounds like the FortiClient app is crashing after entering the invitation code, which is why it remains unlicensed. A few things to try:

  1. Check Android compatibility – FortiClient v6.2.3 may have issues with Android 14; try using the latest FortiClient version compatible with your OS.

  2. Clear cache and data – Go to Android Settings → Apps → FortiClient → Storage → Clear cache & Clear data, then try the invitation code again.

  3. Install via official FortiCloud link – Sometimes manually downloaded APKs behave differently than the one pushed from EMS Cloud.

  4. Reboot before registration – After clearing data or updating, restart your device before entering the code.

  5. Check EMS Cloud settings – Ensure the invitation code is active and assigned to the correct group in EMS Cloud.

If it still crashes, consider contacting Fortinet Support to confirm Android 14 compatibility and check for known issues with that FortiClient build.
