Hello,
I have Mac OSX 10.11.6, fully updated.
I download the "Get Forticlient 5.4 for Mac OSX" file, "FortiClientOnlineInstaller.dmg and open it to setup the forticlient.
It attempts to download the forticlient and I get the error "Failed to connect to the update server".
Has anyone hit this before? Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?

If you have an active subscription I would download it from the support portal as the failed to connect error seems to be returnng every time.
That helped though I'm concerned that user's downloading future version may run into trouble.
I was at least able to verify the installation instructions I have. :)

Why isn't the problem being fixed by Fortinet?
Are you behind any proxy? This might be the cause of failing to reach the update servers.

It is just regarding the MAC version. Did test from different locations/networks and computers.
Run
sudo spctl --master-disable
in Terminal, run the install and then run
sudo spctl --master-enable
This disables Gatekeeper to allow the install and then re-enables it.
