I have noticed on a handful of my Forticlient's stopped receiving virus definition updates. The log states cannot obtain updates. Update server responded with unauthorized access.
Fortigate version 5.11
Forticlient version 5.09
I have also tried update one of the workstations to 5.2.4 and it still cant get updates.
Thanks

Sorry. What I meant was it shall be fixed in a further FortiClient release.
You are right that 5.0.11 is not available. The latest is 5.0.10 and it has this bug.
So is there a workaround until then? It worries me that our client are getting behind on updates.
Is there a way to unregister all clients so they get updates externally? Maybe a script or command?
Thanks. I submitted a ticket and am working with support now.
Sorry. There is no work-around as far as I know.
Please raise this issue to Fortinet Support, ask them to escalate it, get it fixed ASAP.
You can only deregister one by one.
You can use "diag endpoint registration list registered-forticlients | grep UID" to filter out all UID, then "diag endpoint registration deregister <for each UID>".
BTW, 5.2.4 FortiClient doesn't have this problem. Do you want to try that?
No because I don't want to move to a subscription base Forticlient. I already purchase the 5.0 Forticlient license. I have tried upgrading to the 5.2.4 version at one of my sites and it removed some functionality so we downgraded.
