Forticlent 7.02 can't work on surface pro11 win11 pro version?

I am using a Surface Pro 11 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E8010, running Windows 11 Pro. I have installed FortiClient version 7.x, but I am unable to successfully activate the VPN. The connection always drops at 98%. Could you please provide assistance?

Hello @fioncubix ,

You use arm based computer. FortiClient doesn't support arm-based computers yet.  You can download FortiClient from the Windows store and you can connect with that.

For more information, you can review this document.

Hi ozkanaltas,

 Thank you for your reply.

After installation, I encountered an error stating: The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer.  Do you have any other suggestions?

Additionally, could I ask if  FortiClient app is only possible to configure the L2TP/IPsec mode? Is it possible to configure the SSL VPN mode?

Hi @fioncubix ,

Normally, this error should not occur when establishing a tunnel with a Windows agent. Because the forticlient you downloaded from windows store still helps you make ssl-vpn.

You did exactly the same things as written in the document, right? Forticlient should be selected as the provider and ?ice=1 should be added to the end of the VPN URL.

FortiClient (Normal Windows Desktop APP) can normally work both as an L2TP client and as an SSL-VPN. However, since you are using an arm based machine, there is no support for either of them yet.

yes. Was just making sure OP was aware they need to be in lock-step with what their IT had in place and not YoLo a 7.0.2 client without checking the backend server. Wasn't clear whether they had keys to EMS or someone else who just upgraded to Windows 11 https://mobdro.bio/ .
