Hi,
on a FortiGate VM, when trying to activate a VM permanent trial license with the command "execute vm-license", I get the following error message:
Forticare response error 57
Failed to download VM license
any suggestion on how to solve this?
Thanks

Hello @ml1000

Hi,
thanks for your reply. The FG has internet access and in fact it can resolve and ping www.fortinet.com, www.forticare.com and www.fortiguard.com without an issue. According to the link you shared, code 57 refers to an invalid token...but according to the link below, there's no mention to any license token required as a parameter to "execute vm-license"....

Martin
Hello @ml1000,
Please share output of following commands.
diag debug vm-print-license
execute vm-license FGVM4V0000XXXXXX <------------- replace with the serial number of your Fortigate
regards,
Sheikh
Here's the output:
Hello @ml1000
Can you try these commands and check again ?
config system fortiguard
set fortiguard-anycast disable
set update-server-location automatic
end
regards,
Sheikh
