Fortiauthenticator 4.2.1 ldap with fortitoken mobile token not showing in GUI

I'm authenticating my fortigate 92D version 5.4.1 with fortiauthenticator 4.2.1 as an ldap server

there is a fortitoken mobile associated with the user I authenticate with.

I'm not getting the token prompt when I authenticate with the fortigate in GUI

But I'm able to log in, if i write the password this way <password>+<tokenvalue>.

If i use radius it works and i get prompted but i want to work with ldap the same way

is there a bug with this or it's a built-in functionality.
