Hi everyone,
Can someone help me regarding the Caller ID modification profiles that are available in FortiVoice?
I want to match incoming calls that have CID Name set to Anonymous and change that name to the number that is received in the From field or delete the name completely.
Currently I'm able to properly match the CID name and change it to some static value.
I couldn't find anywhere in the documentation much details about how to configure the "Map to new called ID name" field with dynamic values.
Regards,
Konstantin

Hi Konstantin,
Do you mean that you want to configure FortiVoice to change the caller ID name for incoming call to the incoming caller number?
Regards
Wilson
Go to your FortiVoice settings and find the Caller ID modification profiles. Look for the option to create a new profile or edit an existing one. In the "Map to new called ID name" field, try using a placeholder or variable that represents the From field of the incoming call. This could be something like "$FROM" or "%FROM%" (actual syntax may vary). Save your changes and test to see if it works as expected.
If you're still having trouble, keep searching or reach out to FortiVoice support for more specific guidance. And hey, if you're curious about who's calling you, check out "Who Called Me," a new reverse phone lookup service that might help you out.
