There's a new iOS version of FortiToken Mobile 4.2.0 which has in it's version info: "Secure token transfer (REQUIRES FAC 5.3 or higher)" FAC 5.3.x isn't shown as released yet, so this seems kind of problematic. Anybody know about a 5.3.x FAC coming out, or what the "secure token transfer" feature mentioned with FortiToken Mobile is?
(Reposting from the thread on push notification services.)
Speculation was something that transfers the token when you move phones, so you don't have to re-setup the token.
I just took a look at an iPhone that didn't have an internal beta version of the app and that certainly is a prominent placement of the "REQUIRES FAC 5.3" warning on the list of app updates...
Existing app functionality works just fine with earlier versions of FortiAuthenticator.
It's only the new "Secure token transfer" feature that will require a newer FAC build than 5.2.0 (exact version to be confirmed, FAC 5.3 is not imminent), and it does what you think - permitting end users to securely transfer tokens between devices without administrator involvement when the feature has been enabled on the FortiAuthenticator.
(We're looking into getting that update message reworded.)
Thanks for the clarification.
