On August 26th, I attempted to log into my client's network using FortiClient VPN only. I received a JavaScript error. I came here, found a solution and performed the suggested steps. I don't have the JavaScript error anymore. The problem I have now is that the FortiClient FortiToken input field does not display. I receive the 2F token code via email; however, I have no way to input the code.
I have been trying to fix this for four weeks and I'm hoping someone can suggest a solution I might try.
Note: It is not the user name case sensitivity
Thanks in advance.
hi,
have a look at https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Troubleshooting-Tip-Possible-reasons-for-FortiClient-SSL.... if you didnt already
Hi Funky,
Thank you for your reply.
I did see the suggested post but it does not address my issue. I do receive the 2F FortiToken code via email. While it does stall at 48% as described in #6, there is no error message and the FortiToken input field never appears. Eventually it times out, and for a brief millisecond, I can see the input field right before it disconnects.
sounds like a FortiClient issue. what version are you running ?
Version
I have tried an older version but it did not solve the issue.

one thing that i find strange is that in the email that you are getting, the username is not the account that you are using to login. have you tried using that ?
if they are using FortiAuth for MFA, everything after @ could be 'read' as realm in it depending on the configuration. maybe try accvpn\lisa.speicher or simple username.
L.E. try also downloading and installing the latest vc++ redist runtime package.

The VPN connection details store my user name and inserts it when I launch the application. The user name on the Token email is a shorter version of my user name.
**After Posting - I see what you meant...
I did that too.
It did not like the user name swap.
