FortiTester test case configuration per user?

Anyone using FortiTester and can confirm / deny if test case configuration is not shared among users?

If I create test case configuration and another user logs in they don't see my created configuration, and neither do I see theirs.

These are remote (RADIUS) users.

Hi @boneyard ,

Based on this community article, each user have their own test case configurations and others cannot see it -

Thank you, seems to more focus on difference between the two roles. But a good indication that there is something going on.

Do you know there is a bug id or something for this to follow? Although it says reported to development team it isn't in the FortiTester release notes as a known issue.

Also perhaps for the community team, it would be nice to find that article easier. When I search for FortiTester I can like three actual articles about FortiTester and then lots and lots about more generic Fortinet news. Probably pages down this on pops up, but I gave up after 10 pages or such.

Hi @boneyard
yes, there is a tracking bug internally. Based on my understanding, this seems to be the way the FortiTester was designed and will need a new feature to change the behaviour.

Regd the feedback on the search, I forwarded this to the community admins to take a look. Cheers.

Hello boneyard,

Thanks for this feedback on the Search result. I just want to let you know (in case it is not already the case) that you can filter your searches so you have less unrelated content as results.

For example, first you can focus your search on diffferents parts of the website:

You can, as well, filter your results on the left hand side with type of documents needed, labels, etc:

And then to fine tune your search, you can select the advanced search on the top left:

With all these steps, it should help you to have less unrelated results on your search.

Thanks, it helps a little, but in general I still find too many very not relevant ones.

I also find it odd that when I search for FortiTester and then select for example knowledge base I just get 4 results, where as when I go manually to the knowledge base page for FortiTester there are like 17 or such.

Hello again boneyard,

I hear you on that. We are aware of some inaccuracies in some results (and not only for FortiTester) with the search bar. We are currently working on it to improve it and make users' searches more accurate.

Sorry again for those inconveniences.

Regards,
Jean-Philippe - Fortinet Community Team
