FortiSwitch

I have a FortiSwitch attached to my FortiWiFi50G and would like to take a backup of my FortiSwitch Configuration. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

Hello @Mork ,

When you back up your FortiGate, you're actually backing up your FortiSwitch.

Or, you can run the following commands to view and back up the configurations for each switch:

config switch-controller managed-switch
edit <SW_Serial_Number>
show

Thanks for this. Using your conf., is there another command to perform the backup of the switch or is the better bet to just backup the FortiGate?

Hello @Mork ,

I know that the best option for switches managed via FortiGate is to regularly back up FortiGate's configuration. Frankly, I haven't heard of any other method.
