Hi All,
I did an exec factoryreset on a FortiSwitch 108D-POE (3.6.3) which had been managed by a 5.4.6 FortiGate 100D, confirmed it appeared to have a clean config, then attached it (again) to the 100D's FortiLink interface. It was added back without a problem.
PROBLEM: What I now see from the FortiGate's GUI for the managed FortiSwitch 108D-POE is that the switch's port1 and port2 interfaces are both putting out 20% of the POE budgeted power. Problem is, there is nothing connected to either port!
I've tried enabling and disabling POE on the ports, enabling and disabling the ports themselves, setting the switches poe-pre-standard-detect to be enable or disable, and restarting the switch a couple times. No change. As soon as those ports are enabled they start either putting out power or thinking that they are putting out power.
Even with all ports having POE disabled, the FortiGate GUI is still showing the switch putting out half its POE budget.
Any suggestions on what to try with this?
Finally did an "execute shutdown" using the switch-controller custom-command, then pulled the plug on the switch. When I brought it back up POE was displaying correctly again. Hope this doesn't happen again.
