FortiSIEM updates behind proxy

Hello

I have two questions regarding FortiSIEM 6.7 content update.

  • Which ports are used by FSM to download content updates from FortiGuard (can't find it on admin guide)
  • Any advice when it connects to FortiGuard behind a proxy?

Fortinet's FortiGate Security Manager (FSM) uses certain ports to download FortiGuard content upgrades. Even though they are not expressly mentioned in the admin guide, industry standards are frequently followed.

FSM typically communicates with FortiGuard servers over ports 443 (HTTPS) and 8888 (HTTP). Enabling these ports in your firewall settings allows for seamless content upgrades.

As configurations change, it's a good idea to keep an eye on Fortinet's official communications for any updates on port utilization.

Furthermore, reading Fortinet's support or technical documentation can give real-time, correct information on the specific port needs for FSM and FortiGuard content updates.

Thanks Marco,

But actually I mean by FSM FortiSIEM, not FortiGate Security Manager.
