Dear Experts,
I cant find concrete document on how totally differentiate the advantages of using FortiSASE vs FortiClient EMS On-Prem/Cloud.
Anyone here who is able to share a side-by-side comparison to enlighten me?
I thought FSASE had the edge of having CASB, but reading the FortiClient EMS admin guide, they also embedded CASB. I still can't figure out when to offer both overlapping solutions to customers.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hello @R_F ,
If we compared the casb feature FortiClientEMS and FortiSASE. FortiClientEMS needs one gateway for that feature. If you use FortiSASE, FortiSASE undertakes this task but if you use FortiClientEMS(or EMS Cloud) and FortiGate on your local data center FortiGate undertakes this gateway task for casb traffic. EMS just controls your client and applies some rules about casb traffic on your clients.
Please outline what it is you’re trying to solve, what your requirements are when looking at both products, and anything that’s driving this from a business perspective https://tutuapp.uno/ .
Hi R_F,
This table might help you https://www.fortinet.com/content/dam/fortinet/assets/data-sheets/og-forticlient.pdf
It compares the FortiClient versions including SASE. On page 1, middle column, where you see EPP/APT add SASE. On the same table, the Managed FortiClient Service (Delivered by Fortinet Experts) options are the same as Managed for SASE.
Here is the community article with the same table above: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiSASE/Technical-Tip-FortiSASE-vs-FortiClient-EMS/ta-p/320174
