FortiOS Host Scanning

New to Fortinet and having a difficult time finding a solid answer, figured I’d ask here before reaching out to support.

Does FortiOS do any sort of host scanning or profiling like what the Firepower does? I’m seeing traffic sourced from the firewall that seems a lot like the Firepower would do when probing a host.

Depending on setup it can use nmap scans on hosts it sees to gather information to tailor IPS rules. Just curious if the Fortinet had the same sort of feature
