As subject - is this possible? Obviously the 5.6.3 release notes don't reference 5.4.6 as this was released after.
The GUI allows the upgrade, so I assume it's OK.

Check the supported upgrade path. There are certain functions that break if you don't do the correct order. It used to be more straightforward in older releases.
It looks like 5.4.6 can go straight to 5.6.2 and then to 5.6.3
CISSP, NSE4
5.6.3 release notes says below:
"FortiOS version 5.6.3 officially supports upgrading from version 5.4.5, 5.4.6, 5.4.7, 5.6.0, 5.6.1, and 5.6.2."
However, you have to watch out for the special notes, which have been discussed in multiple threads in this forum.
"If you are upgrading from version 5.4.5, 5.4.6, or 5.4.7, the IPsec phase1 psksecret setting might be lost. If this happens, reconfigure the psksecret setting after upgrading."
I went to 5.6.2 and then to 5.6.3 - seems to be OK
And no IPsec issues :O)
Anybody know if the problem with IPsec phase1 psksecret setting getting lost when upgrading from 5.4.5/6/7 to 5.6.3 is also seen with IPsec certificate auth?
