FortiOS 5.4.2 release date

Hi to everyone,

we are plan to update our FortiGate 500D in HA Cluster to 5.4, have you a release date for 5.4.2?

We are waiting for this release from May 2016 for a bug fix on CLI.

We're waiting for this also, been running 5.4.1 since July but there are many bugs. We were told late October, which it is so we'll see.

There is a beta-program running for 5.4.2

I don't expect it to land in 2016 anymore.... Rumors suggest February

I know that there is beta program for 5.6.0 but i'm very un-happy of this situation...

I talked to support yesterday, and they said FortiOS 5.4.2 was (17 Oct - 1 Nov), so any day now ?? ;)

FortiOS 5.6.0 will however be next year, beta has not begun yet.

5.6.0 beta has begun. (5.4.2 beta was renamed to 5.6.0 and 5.4.2 was made into a bug resolution release).

I am patiently waiting on 5.4.2 for some bug fixes. Sucks that the newer E class gear can't run 5.2.x to mitigate this issue until resolution has occurred.

You are right, it has begun, but the first release of 5.6.0 is due mid-November (according to my sources).

BUT a bugfix release with 5.4.2 is very welcome!
