FortiOS 5.2 and Fortiview (no info displayed)

Hi there, I' ve upgraded one of my test Fortigates (a 300C) to 5.2 and so far it' s looking good. The new Fortiview section looks interesting, but apart from the " Now" timeframe I can' t see any historical data there. Is this right? This 300C is connected to a FortiAnaylser 200D in real-time mode - could this be something to do with it? There seems to be no real information on 5.2 apart from the release notes. A manual or technical reference would be useful! Should I join the beta forum?! Thanks, Steve

I remember that now this fortiview does ONLY support the disk logging with HDD/SSD... although, it can be working with memory logging for some views(sources, destinations and all sessions)..

That' s a shame. Odd really as it' s got a nice, big FortiAnaylser to talk too! Does that also mean the the " Link Monitor" under the System, Monitor section won' t work either?

the fortiview doesn' t support FAZ ... but it should be working with memory logging for some views (sources, destinations and all sessions)... of course, using SSD/HDD disk is nice support

Thanks for your help. Where can I find information out about all of this? The lack is a bit irritating!

if you mean " historical data" support.. here: https://forum.fortinet.com/FindPost/108573 simple answer: " only disk logging with SSD/HDD supports this feature for now???" Yes:- * If the unit has an SSD, but disk logging is not enabled, they will be prompted to enable disk logging * If the unit does _not_ have an SSD, none of the historical FortiView pages will be available
