Just a little curious, why the big jump in the version? what happened to 5.1.x?

the 5.1 was the internal beta release, 5.2 is the GA

From now on there are going to be 2 releases odd release as a development release and patches are going to have both features and fixes. Even releases as stable release with patches containing only fixes. Customers can choose stable or development as they see fit.
