I have question regarding to FortiNAC perpetual license , What is effect when fortiNAC perpetual license expire ?

Every function can work fine without updating , What i understand is correct ?

By perpetual license you mean VM license?

Anyway when FNAC license expires:

- FNAC will lose the entitlements that the license has
- You still have FNAC GUI access
- Will not be able to commit any changes
- Will still have visibility but you will loose control and response

VM or Hardaware, As i understand fortiNAC have perpetual and subscription license

Yes correct and the main difference is "The Perpetual license information is read from the license key and the subscription license pulled from FortiCloud", more information is shared in Deployment Guide page 58.

For VM version if your support subscription expires then you will have the above mentioned locks. The perpetual license is just VM license and number of managed clients.

For hardware version I have no idea, it may be different than the VM version.

Every FNAC appliance is delivered with license key and certificate is included.
On VM environment you have to download form Fortinet portal. You need to update MAC and UUID on product information section before downloading.
