FortiNAC & Huawei S7000 WLC

Hello

FortiNAC 9.2.8.

Anyone has integrated Huawei S7000 WLC in FortiNAC?

This device is a switch and a WLC at the same time.

When we add it to FortiNAC (SNMP + SSH), all switch ports are seen but we don't find SSIDs anywhere.

Also no way to link the managed APs to WLC on FortiNAC. It seems it is just recognized as a switch device.

Already read all FortiNAC document about Huawei WLC integration but found nothing useful for my case.

It looks like this is a modular SW with a WLC controller. Is the WLC a separated module or is it built-in module in the switch?

I searched internally and currently the WiFi part is not supported for S770x models (1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.223.1/2). There is an investigation going on for S7703 related to WiFi. If you have a valid support contract for FNAC you can open a TAC case to assist you further or contact your sales representative to submit a NFR to support also the WiFi part of this device.

Did you manually modeled or it was automatically mapped in FNAC?

You can run a snmpwalk to check what OID does this device have:

snmpwalk -v2c -c xxx 10.x.x.x system

or the first lines of this command:

> device -ip 10.x.x.x
Type = 1.3.6.1.4.1....
Group = 1.3.6.1.4.1....

Hello

Thanks for the feedback.

It seems the WLC is a separate module.
