I'm unable to find settings for Alert Email feature in FortiManager's GUI, yet "config system alertemail" exists in CLI Reference.
Does FortiManager support sending Alert Emails (in the same way that FortiGate does), what kind of messages or severity of messages will be sent and how do one specify destination email address?
To use event alert function (generate alert based on local event logs), in FMG 5.2 and 5.4, you need to enable FAZ feature from SS - Dashboard - System Information widget, system will reboot and then you will see "Event Management" function displayed on GUI
and event alert based on FMG local event log, can be configured from Event Management in root ADOM for "Local FortiManager", and then, you can config alert notification send by email
email server can be configured in SS - Advanced - Mail Server
Thanks

Is that mean to be "An event alert based on ..."?
So, what does CLI "config system alertemail" if FAZ feature isn't enabled in FortiManager?
Will Event Handler's "Send Alert Email" (in "Notification" tab) utilise "config system mail" or "config system alertemail" or something else?
For now, FMG side workflow function will use mail notification and also for FAZ side event alert and report output, they all use "config system mail" which has GUI support and can config multiple servers.
Thanks
Simon
